For individuals, business leaders, managers or team members, my coaching draws from Somatic Coaching including Leadership Embodiment practices and the psychology of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). We work with posture, nonverbal communication and clarity of purpose to increase confidence, achieve break through results and help you discover your inner potential.

What is Somatic Coaching?

The word somatic originates from ancient Greece and means ‘of the body.’ In coaching it is a way to engage with people holistically or in other words – the whole person and not just the mind.

Research shows that at least 70% of all communication is non-verbal. Learning to pull together the body’s message with what is being said enhances our capacity for effective management, leadership and more fulfilling relationships. With the Leadership Embodiment (LE) coaching model we move beyond verbal coaching to include the whole person.

Each of us has patterns that arise when we are confronted with a management or leadership task or challenge. Often our mind understands what is needed to create more skillful interactions and yet we are not able to do what we so clearly understand. “Under stress the body always wins”. The body needs to experience skillful alternatives that then translate into a deeper understanding and a capacity to take a different action.

Somatic coaching practices help us to be more effective and sustain a positive outlook in how we relate to others and ourselves particularly when we are under pressure or feel threatened. As an alternative to focusing mainly on the mind and theory, the focus is also on the body to create more resourceful options and choices.
